The Masterplan will deliver

  • An ecologically and economically sustainable community

  • 5,500 housing lots for up to 15,000 people, to meet demand and regional population growth

  • Housing diversity and choice through a variety of housing types, densities and price points

  • The ability to remain within the community at any life stage

  • Proximity to work, schools and transport

  • A 30km green loop enabling residents and their visitors to move around the city by foot or bike, independent of major roads

  • Abundant green space and natural amenity

  • A heart of the community designed for gathering, with a village centre offering shops, a bakery, care for the aged, and medical and education facilities

  • A public bus network

  • A pedestrian and cycle network, linking to new pedestrian and cyclist bridges over the Waambul

  • An embedded artwork strategy to bring culture and life to each neighbourhood

  • Free Wi-Fi to community areas and future proofed infrastructure (fibre to node) for the control of community assets (Internet of Things).
